Do you plan to visit west Crete for first time?
There are many things to do and see during your stay here. I have explore all the region and i can say that i have almost all the information you need, to don't miss anything around when you return home. Only a few hours are enough to walk around the town of Kissamos, the town is small and not so tourist like other spots in north part of the island.
I don't reccomend you to drive in Kissamos beacause of the traffic during the summer you will spend you time waiting for long time in the same spot trying to find a parking place to leave your vechile.
So, my advise is, start walking around, drink some coffee at the coffee shops in the centre, as all the locals do at lunch time, speak with them is you speak the Greek language, but even not, most of the locals they speak English.
My favorite spot to enjoy our coffee and chat is only five kilometres away, in a small laid back village called kaliviani.
In the next article i will give you some more information about that lovely greek village.
Thank you for keep reading me...

Kissamos town has two main streets that drives from east to west or the opposite, while your coming to town from Chania or from the west which is the Gramvousa peninsula. Very easy you will recognize the centre and from there to start you walking around.
