Around Kissamos

Kissamos or Kastelli has a long history and a stronge culture heritage, but nowdays most of the visitors are looking for peaceful places to chill out and relax under the strong sun.

Ony few places left in the wolrd like Kissamos province in Crete. The area around has the most beautiful landscape and nature giving you the opportunity to walk around.

One of the smallest but warmest villages in Kissamos, is the old settlement Kaliviani. This village offers access to the unique lagoon in the world, this beach s become very popular the last years and all visitors wants to take a look.

Everybody who visits Kissamos province and the west part of Crete, has to visit balos beach. Having as a starting point the village Kaliviani, take the route to the west and after two and half hours (2,5 hours) walking you will reach this wonderful and very popular beach at the end of the world.
